Membership

Cooks Hill Surf Club is run by volunteers and operates as a not-for-profit organisation.

Membership fees directly support essential services including beach patrols, lifesaving equipment, training programs, Nippers, and club facilities to help keep our beach safe for everyone.

All new and renewing memberships are done through the Surf Life Saving Australia Members Area (SLS Hub).

Cooks Hill Surf Life Saving Club is a welcoming and community-focused club where people of all ages can get involved, build skills, and be part of something bigger.

From Nippers to patrolling members and volunteers, there is a place for everyone at Cooks Hill Surf Life Saving Club — you do not need a Bronze Medallion to join and make a difference.

Members can train for patrol awards such as the Surf Rescue Certificate and Bronze Medallion, then continue to grow through first aid, rescue, and advanced surf lifesaving pathways.

Cooks Hill Surf Life Saving Club is also proud to support leadership, mentoring, and junior development, helping members gain confidence, create friendships, and contribute to beach safety.

Membership Types

Patrolling

For people who want to patrol the beach as volunteer lifesavers

  • Cadet (13-15yrs) $100
  • Active (15-18yrs old) $100
  • Active (18yrs and over) $110

Inclusive/ Adaptive Program

Adaptive program for Nipper children with additional needs

  • Free

Junior Activities (Nippers)

For families with children aged 5-13 years olds who want to join our Nippers program.

  • Nipper child $120
  • Primary Nipper Parent $100
  • Secondary Nipper Parent $50 (optional)
  • Nipper Family $440 (two parents with 3 or more children aged 5-13yrs old)

Associate

For those who don’t patrol, but support the club in other roles.

  • $155

Winter Activites

For those who want to join the Gropers Winter Swimming squad only.

  • $100
  • $10 for members with another membership type

    Club Access Keys

    All Members have access to the change rooms during normal club operating hours (summertime, Saturdays and Sundays). For those Members who wish to access the change rooms outside of these hours, please purchase an Access Fob.

    • Active Patrolling Members: $75
    • Life Members: $75
    • Associate members: $150
    • Fob replacement fee: $25

      Junior Activities/Nippers Gear

      For families with children aged 5-13 years olds joining our Nippers program.

      • Nipper cap: $20 (purchased on the first day of nippers)

      Members who have held a Bronze Medallion and been an active patrol member for at least 3 years
